Course Duration
ACCA is essentially a 3 year programme. However keeping in view the professional nature of these examinations, successful completion may take up to 3-4 years.

Registration Procedures
You can register as an ACCA student by visiting www.accaglobal.com and using ACCA s on line registration facility. The initial registration can be completed on line. To fully complete your registration you must send copies of your academic transcripts, passport size photograph, copy of relevant pages of passport and a cheque or postal order of 59 Pound along with your application number. It may take ACCA up to 4-6 months to provide you with your registration details.

Eligibility as a registred students
Professional Examination Route:
Minimum Entry requirements to register for the ACCA qualification, starting at the Knowledge level, are two A Levels plus 3 GCSEs in five separate subjects (including English and Mathematics), or the equivalent. Those students in possession of higher qualifications may be eligible for exemptions from some of the ACCA examinations.

Exemptions for Degree Holders: Holders of recognised business and/or accounting degrees will be considered for exemption from some or all of the papers in Knowledge & Skills levels, if they have previously studied and been assessed in comparable subject areas. Students with non-relevant degrees will not receive exemption from the examinations. We advise you to check your starting point with ACCA before you enrol on the course.
  • At least 2 A-level passes
  • CAT level B or AAT (U.K) intermediate
  • BTEC National certificate, Advanced GNVQ
  • NVQ level 3-4
  • Degree from a recognised institution
Candidates following the Professional entry route are allowed to sit a maximum of four papers in their first examinations.
The Membership with the ACCA can be obtained by registering on line. The website address is www.accaglobal.com.
The initial registration can be completed on line, and a copy of declaration is to be sent to the ACCA along with the copies of your most recent academic qualifications, Passport size photograph, Copies of the relevant pages of the passport, and a cheque/postal order of £58 as the registration fee.
It may take ACCA up to 4-6 weeks to provide you with your registration details.

Practical implications
Successful candidates will need a minimum of 3 years practical experience in the relevant field. This will enable them to operate as registered auditors and practicing accountants

Registration deadlines
In order to appear in the paper based exams with the ACCA the registration deadlines must be met.
Please note that in order to sit the June examinations the student must apply for registration before 31st of December the following year and to sit December examinations the registration deadline is 31st August same year.
However students opting for CBE exams do not need to follow the above dead lines, please remember CBE option currently applies to paper M1 and M2 (ACCA) and papers 1-4 (CAT). (Read notes on CBE)
