Eligibility
You must normally be aged 16 or above to register, preferably O levels/ or matriculation. Holders of certain qualification may receive exemptions from some of the papers.

Course Duration
CAT can be fully completed with 15-18 months

Practical implications
To become a qualified certified accounting technician and use the letters CAT after your name, you must demonstrate that, in addition to passing the examinations, you have obtained at least one year relevant supervised work experience which satisfies ACCA competence based experience requirements.

Computer based examinations (C.B.E)
As the name suggests, these exams are held on the computer and follow a multiple-choice format.

CAT
CBE is available for the first four papers of CAT qualification. Pass mark for paper 1 and 2 is 56%, where as pass mark for next two papers is currently 50%. CBE exams for the above four Cat papers can be attempted as frequently as possible. However the rest of the subjects can only be attempted via paper-based examinations.
